So you are getting married and have picked the dress, bought the flowers, and planned the perfect wedding day, but what are you going to do for your honeymoon? Your honeymoon should be as memorable as the wedding itself, whether you are on a budget or not. Your honeymoon can be a relaxing retreat for just the two of you or an adventurous retreat depending on what fits your lifestyle.
Bed and Breakfast Honeymoon:
For a honeymoon retreat consider going to an out of the way bed and breakfast. A bed and breakfast is a great honeymoon idea as breakfast is served by the hosts which are usually homeowners with 10 or less bedrooms. Many of these have fantastic views from the house and some are close enough to lakes or other popular attractions that you can get tours of the area or even rent equipment like canoes or bikes. Your hosts are also very informative letting you know what is happening in the area as well as directions to restaurants and an other activities you may be interested in. This allows you the alone time you need as well as offering you activities during the day.
Cabin or Secluded Rental:
To get an even more secluded retreat for your honeymoon a cabin rental may be just for you. Renting a cabin in the woods is a romantic getaway at the end of your wedding day. Views are spectacular and you can hike around your cabin enjoying nature and each others company as you do. While these cabins have electricity, many do not have television, phones, or internet. Also you will need to bring enough food with you to last your stay. After all the cabin in the woods is for a total retreat to get away from everyone else and truly enjoy each other on a one on one basis.
Adventure Honeymoon:
If you are a more adventurous couple, get an adventure package. These packages can be found in your area for a short travel time to your destination either by car or by flight to an exciting honeymoon vacation. If you have your passport and some extra spending money consider taking your adventure overseas. With a simple click of the button you can find adventure packages anywhere you would like to go, from Europe, Asia, Africa, even in the Caribbean. These packages can be all inclusive taking you to your destination as well as providing all meals and accommodations along the way.
Spectacular Sightseeing Tour:
If adventure isn’t for you consider going on a sightseeing tour. Go see famous architecture in famous cities such as Rome, Prague, London, and Cyprus. Maybe you can go visit famous landmarks from around the world like The Great Pyramid, Stonehedge, Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, or even the Statue of Liberty. Going on a tour like this may be spendy but the memories of traveling the world with your loved one on your honeymoon will last forever.
Budget Friendly Honeymoon Activities:
To make the most of your honeymoon consider how much you can spend as well as your interests as a couple. Make sure you both want to go or see the things planned on the honeymoon together. A good example is a spa retreat or a hunting trip, this may be fun for one of you on the honeymoon but the other may be bored or not like it at all. But if you both enjoy something like art consider going to an art exhibit or auction as you both will have some fun.
