Cabo San Lucas, located on the southern coastal tip of the Baja Peninsula, is renowned for its clean unspoiled beaches and all things connected to the ocean. The locale can be a surprisingly affordable honeymoon destination. Just remember to do your research. Price does not always ensure quality.
Cabo San Lucas is one of the most popular Mexican ports of call for cruise ships. Affluent residents of Mexico are frequent visitors to the area. As you might imagine, with the large amount of tourists visiting over the years, the area has developed many nightspots. In fact, many think Cabo San Lucas is the Las Vegas of Mexico for nightlife…
The residents are extremely hospitable and accommodating. They truly seem to care that your stay is enjoyable. The locals. as well as, the hotel workers go out of their way make the time you spend with them memorable.
As friendly as the people are, it is important to remember that Mexico is a foreign country. A foreign country may have different ways of doing things than what you are accustomed to…To ensure your honeymoon stay goes off without a hitch…ask your questions up front while booking your honeymoon stay about payment policies and check in times… Knowledge is power.
Some other important matters you should investigate:
- Travel restrictions—This holds true anywhere you travel in Mexico. Check online or call for more information about local restrictions that could affect your honeymoon.
- Baggage restrictions—You know all about restrictions on baggage when traveling in America. But, you might be unaware that Mexico has its own restrictions which differ from one area to another. Again, ask your questions upfront to ensure a relaxing trip.
- Projected weather conditions—In the past few years, there have been so many hurricanes. It would be unwise to honeymoon during hurricane season. You can get often weather predictions months in advance.
- Local holidays—Local holidays often mean loud and boisterous partying. If you are looking to party also, there’s obviously no problem. But if you are aiming for a quiet private honeymoon stay, you may want to avoid holiday times. Inquire while booking about any holidays that could affect your honeymoon stay.

There are lots of high quality world class spas on the island of Aruba where you can get all the pampering you need to feel relaxed and refreshed.
Most of the spas are located within high end resorts so you will have to book a room at the resort and then add on your spa treatments. When you do that make sure that you have a spa advisor or a hotel concierge book your spa treatments and spa days at the time when you book your room to make sure that you get the appointment times that you want and the treatments that you want.
If you want more privacy and more relaxation than just getting spa treatments at a hotel you can book a stay in one of several destination spas that dot the island. These destination spas often have private beaches and private cottages for guests so that you get lots of privacy and lots of down time to relax.
Unlike some spas where your days are strictly regimented these destination spas let you choose your own schedule, your own treatments and sometimes your own menu so that you can really relax. Since the weather in Aruba is beautiful throughout the year you can save money and have more privacy if you take your spa vacation to Aruba during the off season. The off season in Aruba, the season that has the least amount of tourists, is during April to November so you have lots of dates to choose from.
Want to give your best friend, sister, or partner a great gift? Take her with you on a spa trip to Aruba. That way you will have a loved one to travel with and do things with but you will both get the benefits of a few full days of spa treatments, meditation, and total relaxation. Spa vacations are becoming very trendy and more and more destination spas are popping up in places like Aruba where the natural beauty and tropical climate combined with the relaxation and luxury of the spa experience can make a vacation truly unforgettable.
Couples spa treatments and spa vacations are also becoming popular. If you could use some time away with your spouse to reconnect or recharge your relationship a spa vacation in Aruba is a great way to get some quality time together. Do you know a couple that has a small baby? For their anniversary this year give them a couple’s spa vacation in Aruba. They will be very grateful for the chance to spend some quality time alone together and to relax and get a break from the stress of being new parents.
A spa vacation also makes a great wedding gift. Planning a destination wedding? You could book a few days of spa treatments at the spa in your hotel and head down to Aruba with your bridal party a few days early to get in some girl time with your attendants. Giving your friends and family a few days at the spa is a wonderful way to thank your bridal attendants for participating in your wedding.

If you’re planning a luxury vacation to Jamaica there are plenty of places where you can find everything you need to make your vacation truly luxurious. Destination spas, five star hotels and fabulous restaurants are plentiful and easy to find everyone on the island. You can treat yourself to the finest of everything because Jamaica is very affordable. If you want to have a really luxurious vacation you can book a suite at one of the many high end resorts that dot the beaches around the island.

Many of the fine resorts offer complimentary travel to and from the airport and may even have a car service that can you around the island. There are a lot of lovely attractions that you can visit or you can sit by the pool and soak up some warm Jamaican sun. There is also world class shopping and several casinos that can provide a lot of entertainment when the sun is too much. For a truly luxurious Jamaican vacation skip the hotels and look into renting one of the many private villas that can be found on private estates.
Many of these private villas have private beaches right on the ocean and have every luxury that you can think of. Some of these villas are built on land that used to belong to European nobility and European and American socialites and wealthy families that would spend their winters in the Caribbean in mansions overlooking the expansive white beaches. Now most of those mansions are gone but the land is still privately owned and developers have built individual villas on the property where you can stay with a loved one or just by yourself if you need some time alone.
If you’re a boating enthusiast you can rent a villa with a private boat slip so that you can boat as much as you want and you don’t have to travel any further than out your front door. Most of these villas come with housekeeping service, private chefs, and some even have a private concierge so that you can get information on the best spots to eat and shop or get tickets to some of the wonderful shows, exhibits and attractions that the island has to offer. If you want to surprise someone that you love with a luxury vacation you should plan a vacation to Jamaica.
Since the US dollar is worth more than the Jamaican currency the US dollar buys a lot in Jamaica and you can afford to rent that private villa or stay in a high end destination spa for the same price that you would pay for a business class hotel at another vacation spot. Traveling to Jamaica is the perfect way to get away from it all but not have to deal with the hassles of traveling since Jamaica isn’t that far from the United States. Lot of celebrities head to Jamaica during the year so if you rent a villa on a luxurious private estate you might just run into someone famous when you’re out walking around, boating, riding horses, or playing golf.

It is always a nice treat to be away from the stress and pressures of city life. Why not plan a quick trip with you and your family? How about with your friends? How about planning a Pacific Northwest honeymoon beach getaway with your partner?
We all long to have a break from our busy schedules, right?! And a nice stroll along the beach can definitely ease all the pressures.
Bounded by the Pacific Ocean, the Pacific Northwest is the perfect place for a number of beach activities. Ocean beaches in this region are wild and rugged which is perfect for storm watching, beachcombing, and kite flying.
So here are some nice suggestions for a great weekend or even honeymoon beach experience:
Go visit Lone Ranch Beach in the Oregon Coast, four and half miles north of Brookings. Its collection of sea stack, extends from the ocean and it dramtically changes its color with the variations in sun angles, light and cloud movements.
Along the beach shoreline you will find several picnic benches where you can sit and enjoy the scenic beauty of the ocean. Enjoy watching sea lions or you can also feed seagulls. Have fun swimming and kite flying alongside the shoreline. There is absolutely something for everyone in this place.
Another suggested destination would be at Cape Arago: home to a number of marine creatures. Visiting here is a great opportunity to watch these marine mammals live their lives. Discover attractive tidal life by tide pooling which is best done during low tide. While doing this you can also grab a picture of this panoramic view of marine life.
On the Cape, you can explore sandy beaches and ragged cliffs. You can also enjoy watching the families of seals and sea lions on the offshore rocks. If you plan to visit on winter or early spring then you will get a chance to see great migrating gray whales.
The Cape also offers great opportunities for fun-filled picnics, fishing, hiking and watching wildlife and it is definitely a great way to enjoy your weekend or longer.
How about going on a beach trip to Sunset Beach? Sunset beach can also be found on the Oregon Coast. How to get here? It is 110 miles west of Portland, driving and taking on Highway 101 at Sunset Beach Lane.
Ever tried kiteboarding before?
Ocean kiteboarding is a very popular activity in this area and it is considered to be an extreme sport. You can expect few obstructions and wide room for maneuvering. And you can also choose from kiteboarding, kite landboarding, kite-buggying to simple kite flying. It is one way of making your trip here really exciting.
Washington is also a nice place to go beach tripping. The ocean beaches here are basically split up into two areas, north and south, which is over 50 miles apart. South beaches are on the long stretched beach peninsula and are blessed with wide sandy beaches. Up in the north the beaches are mostly are rugged and rocky. But despite the differences, both north and south are perfect spots for a beach break. Long Beach peninsula is actually 26 miles long and claims to be the longest coastline in the world. Even just a drive along the shoreline can be enjoyable as you catch glimpses of its stark awesome beauty.

How Maui Got its Name

Amongst the multiple islands that Hawaii has, Maui is considered as the seventeenth largest island within the vicinity of the United States. It is the also the 2nd largest island included in the Hawaiian group of islands with about 727.2 sq. miles. Maui is affiliated with the state of Hawaii. Maui belongs to Maui County which also has there other islands along it namely: Kahoolawe, Molokai and Lanai. The four islands combined together will bring you Maui Nui.
It was in the year 2000 that Maui’s population bloomed to 117,644. The town that has the largest population within Maui is Kahului and is also considered as the largest town, whereas Wailuku is known as the seat of the county of Maui.
How Maui Got its Name
In early times, the Native Hawaiians claims that the origin of their island’s name came from the legend of the Polynesian navigator, Hawai’iloa. He was the one who is responsible for the attribution of Maui’s discovery. According to the legend, Hawai’iloa named his son after the demigod named Maui. Maui, as the demigod, raised the islands of Hawaii from the depths of the sea. Maui Island is also known as “Valley Isle” because of the great isthmus which is in between two volcanoes.
A Dose of History
Originally, the Polynesians were the ones who populated Maui. They came from the Marquesas and the Tahiti. The core of the culture of Hawaii came from the kapu system which was introduced by the Tahitians. The kapu system was a social system that strictly affected the entire aspects of life of the people of Hawaii.
During the mid-1700s, a modern history for Hawaii was paved. It was the time of the Battle of Kepaniwai when King Kamehameha I resided and made his mark in the place of Lahaina after conquering Maui in the year 1790.
The first European explorer who saw Maui was Capt. James Cook that was in November 26, 1778. Back then, Cook never had the chance to set foot on the island’s surface because it was difficult for him to find a more suitable spot to land his vessel. Then the French under the authority of Admiral Jean Francois de Galaup de La Perouse who was considered as the first European who had the opportunity to visit Maui followed. He landed on the now known La Perouse Bay that was on May 29, 1786. After that historical event, more Europeans followed and established a more productive part between them and the people of Maui.
One of the bands of Europeans who came to Maui was the missionaries who made several changes for the natives of the island to follow. The missionaries were responsible for the banning of hula dancing and affected the lives of the natives to a greater extent. The missionaries were also the ones who taught the natives on how to become more civilized. They shared their knowledge on things like writing and reading which resulted to an alphabet that consists of the 12 letters. Missionaries started a printing press which brought about the written history of the people of Maui. In an ironic sense, the missionaries preserved and altered most of the native’s culture.
Maui, Hawaii began to be involved centrally in the height of the Pacific Theatre which staged World War II. This became a center for relaxation, rest and a training ground. Beaches of Maui were used for training and landings of marine sabotage and demolition.
Money Saving Tips For Your Honeymoon

As well as the usual ways to get cheap air travel rates or vacation deal, it is also important to consider other money saving tips for when you are actually traveling. Money saving tips whilst you are away should not be overlooked, as they can save you a substantial amount of money in the long run.
Another item you might want to consider before booking is what potential specialist discounts you may be entitled to; for example, many agents and websites offer discounts for honeymoon packages, such as get a free night or upgraded room. Other times of the year or locations might also be considered as well for discounts.
Similarly there are specialist deals for seniors as well and you might find out which of the airlines you are considering offer discounts for AARP members. If you are getting a senior rate you may find that your companion can also benefit from the same rate. Be sure to ask about these rates and any coupons or vouchers that are offered to senior travelers.
Clubs and Award Programs
Being a member of an airline or hotel awards program is a superb way of finding out about the bargains and also for making ongoing savings every time you travel. As a general rule there is no limit to the number of award programs that you can join, but normally you will have to decide which of the award programs you wish to assign any points you earn during a vacation.
Frequent Flyer Points
Large airline companies now offer frequent flier incentives as a matter of course. Take some time to locate the best deal based on your own individual circumstances. As well as gaining points every time you fly you can also become part of a mailing list that ensures you are notified of the hot deals of the day!
The largest frequent flyer programs in America are United’s Mileage Plus, Delta’s SkyMiles and American’s Aadvantage. On average they have 20 million members each.
Hotel Award Programs
Hotel chains are keen to ensure that they have loyal customers and as such the larger chains will almost always offer some incentive for repeat bookings. Always ask what incentives are available, particularly if you can’t choose between two different hotels. If one offers a good ongoing program, this may sway your decision. Some of the more popular offerings include a free upgrade if you stay for 10 days over the course of a year, free nights, free wine in your room.
Holiday Inn was the first hotel chain to begin to offer incentives and in the early days it was an impressive offer! After 75 days stay a traveler would get 2 airline tickets to Europe! Needless to say, this program was popular but soon had to be discontinued due to the amount it was costing the company. They do now have a very good awards program, just not quite as generous!
Combined Award Programs
Although some hotels and airlines offer frequent flyer points that encourage you to use their specific company, these sometimes will not offer you the best deal in combination. There are now plenty of companies that allow you to gather points whenever you use transport or goods that are affiliated to awards company.
Affiliates can be anything from hotels and flights to restaurants and clothing. Joining is normally easy and free, and with a bit of careful planning can yield huge rewards as well. What have you got to lose?
